Personal Assistant *Female, Driver

£8.45 per hour

Hours of work:

Do you have what it takes to make a difference?

Would you like to do something different next Monday morning? To forget the never-ending 9-5 and make a real difference to someone’s life? Or maybe you are already working in social care and want to join an organisation with values at its core?

Well this may be the opportunity you have been looking for…..

ENABLE Scotland is a dynamic and vibrant organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities and we have exciting opportunities for confident and motivated individuals to support some of the children and young people who live at home with their parents/carers within the Fife area.

Here’s a little more about the children and young people you will be supporting:

The support required is varied and can include support with personal care including moving and handling. Some of the children we support have complex support needs, although all training would be provided to assist you with this. Out with the family home, you will be required to provide support within the local community and to a variety of activities and resources such as clubs, swimming, bowling and finding new places to explore. As a Personal Assistant you will support the children and young people not only with activities but with creating natural friendships within the community. Having a driving licence and the use of your own car would be beneficial as would any experience you have supporting children and young people with complex support needs.

This is a permanent post working a variety of hours over a Saturday and Sunday. As the children and young people you will be supporting are at school, there will be an increase in their hours of support during the school holiday periods.

If this is you then please click the link to apply now.

Every person we support has their own hobbies and interests, likes and dislikes, which is reflected in our person-centred recruitment processes. So please give us as much detail about you to allow us to carry out our bespoke matching service.

What’s also great about ENABLE Scotland is that we believe in developing all our staff and provide an extensive training programme, combined with a commitment to create career development opportunities including SVQ Level 2.

Remember this is #morethanajob – it’s the first step to you making a difference and beginning your career with an award winning charity with its values at its core.
