Do you have what it takes to make a difference?

Would you like to do something different next Monday morning? To forget the never-ending 9-5 and make a real difference to someone’s life? Or maybe you are already working in social care and want to join an organisation with values at its core?

Well this may be the opportunity you have been looking for…..

ENABLE Scotland is a dynamic and vibrant organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities and we have an exciting opportunity for you to support Lisa and Laura in Ayrshire to make the most of their lives.

That could mean supporting them to live independently in their own home or take part in activities we take for granted. And, who knows, it could make a difference to your life as well.

Here’s a little more about Lisa:

“I am a friendly person who at times likes my own space. I am a bubbly person with a good sense of humour. I like going out and about within the local town and really enjoy going to Karaoke. I have a job during the day within a local dog grooming business and can do most things for myself.”

Here is a little more about Laura:

“I am a quiet and sensitive girl, I like going to the Football at Kilmarnock Football Club and also Kilbirnie Ladeside home games. I enjoy going about within the local community and experiencing new things. I like to have control over my plans and need support to enable me to experience new things”.

If you think you could share the same interests and have the commitment to support Lisa and Laura to get the most out of life, this might be the opportunity for you.

If successful your role will include:

• Supporting Lisa and Laura to social activities within the community
• Assisting with shopping
• Helping with household chores
• Attending health appointments
• Increasing their independent living skills.

You don’t need experience in care to start your career with ENABLE Scotland. We recruit people based on their values and transferrable skills. No matter where you have worked before; be it retail, admin, warehousing or wherever, we want to hear from you!

What’s also great about ENABLE Scotland is that we believe in developing all our staff and provide an extensive training programme, combined with a commitment to create career development opportunities including SVQ Level 2.

Remember this is #morethanajob – it’s the first step to you making a difference and beginning your career with an award winning charity with its values at its core.
