Personal Assistant

West Lothian

Hours of work:

Do you have what it takes to make a difference?

Would you like to do something different next Monday morning? To forget the never-ending 9-5 and make a real difference to someone’s life? Or maybe you are already working in social care and want to join an organisation with values at its core?

Well this may be the opportunity you have been looking for…..

ENABLE Scotland is a dynamic and vibrant organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities and we have an exciting opportunity for you to support William in West Lothian to make the most of their life.

That could mean supporting them to live independently in their own home or take part in activities we take for granted. And, who knows, it could make a difference to your life as well.

Here’s a little more about William:
“I am very quiet; I’m interested in the environment, animals, walking, cycling and a variety of sports. I love my food – especially fish and chips, McDonalds and Pizza! I like to meet new people and attend local clubs. I do not speak English, so it is vital that people speak to me in Polish. I am learning English very slowly, so it would be helpful if you could assist with this.”

To support William you must speak fluent POLISH and ENGLISH.

If you think you could share the same interests and have the commitment to support William to get the most out of life, this might be the opportunity for you. Please click the link to apply now.

If successful your role will include:
• Supporting me to social activities within the community
• Assisting me to support local Clubs
• Assisting me to learn English

This is a sessional post potential working days, evening and weekends with approximately 2 out of 4 weekends off.

You don’t need experience in care to start your career with ENABLE Scotland. We recruit people based on their values and transferrable skills. No matter where you have worked before; be it retail, admin, warehousing or wherever, we want to hear from you!

What’s also great about ENABLE Scotland is that we believe in developing all our staff and provide an extensive training programme, combined with a commitment to create career development opportunities including SVQ Level 2. We also provide excellent employee benefits including a Contributory Pension Scheme and an Employee Healthcare Plan.

Remember this is #morethanajob – it’s the first step to you making a difference and beginning your career with an award winning charity with its values at its core.
